This forces me to keep score and in itself has helped me with in lowering handicap.
No longer can I blow off rounds. Before if I was having a bad round I would stop keeping track of my score(I kept score in my head - how far over I was). I would never know the end result. Now by keeping score I force myself to play better, because when the round is over I tally the score and have a final number.
